Notes from this episode: Have you had a dream for your future that you think is lost because of things that have happened in your life? Story of Moses: born to an Israelite family, raised by Pharaoh’s daughter in the palace as her son. at 40 years old, lost his temper and killed an Egyptian guard ran away to the desert to live became a shepherd at 80 years old, God told him to go to Egypt and tell Pharaoh to let God’s people go Israelites finally freed then Moses job to lead them through the wilderness At some point in our lives, most of us feel like life has passed us by. Who Cares

Notes from this podcast episode: Portion from 'The Finishing Touch' by Charles Swindoll , called 'Who Cares'. Tells the story of a derelict who was found on the streets and later died The surprising name of who that drunken bum really was. I won't spoil it for you, you'll have to listen to the podcast The story reminded Mr Swindoll of a poem about stooping down and restoring a lost soul's glimmer of hope. Deep within many a forgotten life is a scrap of hope trying hard to return. Because of my volunteering at the homeless shelter and the women's prison, I know how hard it is for many people to realize that life is still worth living, no matter how much we may have messed up. I hope this story encourages you to care. Have a great week and take the time to smile at others, Carol My New Podcast!

Lessons From the Ditchdigger's Daughters

Download the episode here Notes From This Episode: My motivation for today is from a book that was later made into a movie. In 1950s, father was a ditchdigger and mother a cleaning lady and they had six daughters. He wanted them to have a good education and a better life. Believed always something more to strive for - if you think you've made it, you lose it. Choose your rabbits and chase after them, see what others have done to be successful - my experience with chasing a rabbit. Working hard is a law like the law of gravity and will result in success. The results of their hard work. The father always said "If the door doesn't open, climb through a window. If the window is closed, try to get in through the cellar. If that's locked, climb on the roof and try to get in the chimney. There's always a way if you keep trying." What dream are you trying to achieve? I believe in you, have a great day, Carol My New Podcast!

No More Excuses

Notes about this episode: Too old, too tired, physical problems - all those excuses we give ourselves. Take some inspiration from Aaron (Wheelz) Fotheringham and click on the video at the top of his page http://www.aaronfotheringham.com/ (You'll see some photos at the top and one of them is the video.) Born with spina bifida and confined to a wheelchair at 3 years old. Aaron is one of many people who refused to allow excuses. It wakes up your brain, helps listening and makes you better able to focus. Start at the top of your ears and knead them gently from top to bottom, both ears at the same time, and it works on both sides of your brain. Focus On The Good Things

Notes from today's episode: Who do you hang out with? The kind of companions you have will influence you. Negative people will rub off on you. Philippians 4:8 encourages us to think about whatever is true, honorable, just, commendable, and excellent. When we worry, we lose our focus. By thinking about the good and positive things, it will keep us going in the right direction rather than focusing on the what ifs, the negative things. Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy all the good in your life, Carol My New Podcast!

2017 Update

Hi there and no, I'm not dead, just very busy. I'm still creating courses, still blogging , still not making a whole lot of money but I'm still having fun. In fact, I've started a new podcast called Purpose For Your Life. I've been volunteering a lot with a homeless shelter, prison ministry, and a prison after-care program, so helping people find a purpose for their lives has become important to me. Take care and hopefully I'll post again soon. Carol

Online Course Successes

Here we are almost at the end of 2015 and I've been so busy that I almost forgot about this little blog of mine. What have I been doing, you say? Here's a sample: I decided to focus on only one or two websites instead of having so many, especially if they were in different niches. So I tried to sell CanadianWelcome.ca and ChalkLake.ca but haven't had much interest. So I will probably hold on to the domain names and try to sell them separately. As for the content, I may use it as PLR to sell or something like that. I haven't done any regular webinars for awhile now. Not that I didn't want to, but life got in the way and I cancelled my GoToWebinar account since it was costing me so much money every month. I'm still creating videos and hoping to do so at least once a week. I'd also like to start a weekly podcast. I'm still working with a few private clients, online only, and have been using Zoom for that. It seems to work well so far. I started pu...

Social Media Training

I think I mentioned before that I was busy doing training webinars ever week for 18 weeks. I really enjoyed it and have been asked a number of times when I'm going to start a new series. So another one is in the works and I'm hoping to start at the end of this month and do more in-depth sessions on some of the most popular topics. I also started getting some coaching with Paul Evans (that's a photo of us at NAMS) and +Carrie Wilkerson and it has really helped me. Paul suggested I package my webinars according to topics so they wouldn't seem overwhelming. So I took the 160 minutes that related to Social Media and packaged it up. I was pretty intimidated about doing the sales letter and the whole download process, but with Paul's help and encouragement, I finally got it done. Since I didn't have any idea how to get my own affiliates, I decided to put the package up on jvzoo, which was a challenge in itself. But now it's done and I can breathe a quick si...

New Year, How Are You Doing?

I've got a good feeling about this year. I'm finally getting it as far as understanding affiliate marketing. People have told me before that it isn't that difficult, but I think something needs to click and it finally has. I'm still doing a lot of offline workshops for the local community centre and have also started renting my own venue to present them. I've done two so far. The first one I allowed people to pay at the door. Big mistake. They registered, but then sent me an email at the last minute saying they couldn't come. So after I paid for the location, I was in the hole. The second one I did, I finally got smart and put a Paypal registration on my website. So much easier, not to mention nice to get the Paypal notification that I had made a sale. Ended up with three times as many paying attendees and they paid $5 more each than the first group. Lest you think I made a fortune, my first workshop only had two payees, but it sounds better to say three t...
